Hawkmoth Garden Design strives to create beautiful and functional gardens that enhance people's homes, their surroundings, and the way they wish to live their lives.
Our gardens are also vital for wildlife, particularly in urban areas; they provide sustenance, shelter, and act as corridors linking areas of habitat critical to ecosystems and the survival of wild species. This doesn't mean your garden has to look wild: contemporary designs and planting can also be beneficial to nature if designed and built in the right way.
TrainingI studied for a Diploma in Garden Design and Landscaping at Garden Design School in Bristol, graduating with distinction. I have also taken courses in horticultural propagation and organic gardening.
Before retraining as a garden designer I enjoyed two decades as a producer and project director in creative agencies, and as a trainer/facilitator for an NGO. |

MothsI've had a lifelong fascination for insects. Hawkmoth Garden Design is named for an elephant hawk moth caterpillar I almost stepped on a few days before I began my diploma. Close encounters with nature always feel like a gift, especially creatures this extraordinary. It set me thinking that if I could help create gardens that not only bring happiness to people but also provide habitat for hawk moths, then I will have done my job well.
